NATURAL MECHANISM FOR HEALING
An autologous transplant (or rescue) is a type of transplant that uses the person’s own stem cells. These cells are collected in advance and returned at a later stage. Stem cells are a natural mechanism for healing tissues damaged or destroyed due to disease or trauma.
There are basically two types of stem cells: Embryonic and Adult. We never use embryonic stem cells. Adult stem cells are found throughout your body, although we have found them to be of the highest quality and most plentiful in the bone marrow and adipose (fat) tissue of the body. Because adult stem cells have the ability to multiply and morph into other types of cells throughout your body, they help your body to repair itself naturally. We use adult stem cells to maintain and repair tissue, neutralize inflammation, and accelerate healing.
STEM CELL THERAPY
One of the great things about stem cell therapy is that not only is it minimally invasive, but because we use stem cells from your own body, there is no risk of rejection or of contracting an infectious disease from a donor patients.
Currently, stem cells are considered especially effective for a broad variety of musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions, including destruction of major and minor joints and soft tissue; degenerative disc disease; tendonitis and tears (shoulder, rotator cuff, hip, elbow, Achilles tendon); fractures, sprains, cartilage defects, spine and back disorders, and osteoarthritis.
Depending on the procedure, most patients begin to notice improvement in as little as two to 12 weeks.
